Boog Highberger, 2018

It is has been an honor to serve as your state representative for the last six years, and, with your support, I would like to serve another term.

Dealing with the economic fallout of the coronavirus crisis will definitely be the biggest issue on our plate, but there is much other work to be done.

Criminal justice reform is going to be one of the biggest issues facing the legislature next year. As the ranking member on the House Corrections and Juvenile Justice Committee, and with my recent appointments to the Kansas Sentencing Commission and the Kansas Advisory Group on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, I am in a great position to influence our criminal justice reform legislation.

I am hopeful that 2021 will be the year that we finally expand Medicaid in Kansas, but that will depend in a large part on the outcome of our state senate elections. As always, I will continue to work to make our tax system more fair, to advocate for common sense gun safety laws, to protect women’s reproductive rights, and to build a clean energy future for Kansas.

I need more strong, progressive colleagues in the legislature to accomplish my work for you, so if you are interested in helping other state legislative candidates please let me know, and I will send you names and contact information.

As always, don’t hesitate to contact me if you have questions or concerns about any state issue, or if you have a problem with any state agency.

I would appreciate your vote in the November 3rd election. To donate or volunteer, click on the buttons above. Thank you!
